About Sanlorenzo
While the history of some Italian luxury yacht brands can be traced back through a century or more, the 1950s was a time of growth and recognition for the industry while also launching some of today’s most well-known brands.
Sanlorenzo Yachts, founded in Italy’s beautiful Tuscany region, has been building custom creations on the banks of River Magra since 1958. Considered a “boutique firm,” Sanlorenzo builds a limited number of custom yachts each year.
Growing each decade, Sanlorenzo now operates from three shipyard locations in Italy. Since the company’s birth, Sanlorenzo has built 1000 yachts – each one different from the others. However, the company only builds 50 of the highest quality custom yachts each year.
Although most yacht manufacturers allow differing degrees of customization, Sanlorenzo’s philosophy and approach to building their high-quality brand of luxury yachts is “Made to Measure.”
In Sanlorenzo’s own words, “Each yacht is designed and produced according to the specific requests, style, and desires of the individual owner.”
Every Sanlorenzo Yacht begins as a blank canvas until defined by the buyer’s own influence and inspiration. Customized to blend with the buyer’s own individual style, needs, and desires, the end result is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece as unique as the buyers themselves.
Offering new yachts and super yachts built in fiberglass, steel, and aluminum alloy, Sanlorenzo’s custom collection ranges from the curvy, modern SX76, to the 240-foot 73Steel, and includes one of Sanlorenzo’s newest designs, the fast, open SP110, built with innovative features such as water jet propulsion and solar panels to help reduce fuel consumption, lower emissions, and sustainability.

San Lorenzo has a lot of momentum within the Italian Yacht market due to their strength of design. They feature progressive open styling with modern uses of space. They build three distinct series, and construct a fine fiberglass planing yacht up to 120ft. Their raised pilot house yachts are quite popular, and their Crossover or Fast Displacement hull is a great open water design.
