Following her first season cruising the Mediterranean, Gemini is preparing for her journey to the United States, marking the latest milestone in a new-construction project undertaken with IYG representing the American owner.
The first completed yacht in Rossinavi’s Nolimits range, Gemini combines long-range engineering with exterior design by Fulvio De Simoni Studio, interiors by The Touch Studio, and naval architecture by Arrabito Naval Architects. Built entirely in aluminum, the full-displacement yacht offers a range exceeding 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots, extensive onboard living spaces, and technical systems developed for extended cruising.
A Shared Vision Between Owner, Builder, and Advisor
The story of Gemini began when the owner, already a client of IYG, sought to move into a larger yacht with greater cruising capability, distinctive design, and the flexibility to accommodate his family’s lifestyle. Led by IYG President Boomer Jousma, the search considered several shipyards before identifying Rossinavi in Viareggio, Italy, as a compelling match. The builder’s technical expertise, attention to craftsmanship, and willingness to collaborate on a highly individualized project aligned closely with the owner’s expectations. As the first yacht in the Nolimits range, Gemini also presented an opportunity to influence the development of a new platform.

Throughout the project, Jousma and IYG Sales Executive Vittoria Santarone worked with the owner and shipyard, helping communicate preferences, coordinate decisions, and maintain a shared understanding of the project’s objectives. Santarone’s bilingual expertise and familiarity with Italian yacht construction helped facilitate communication and coordinate the many technical and design decisions involved in the project. Although positioned as a semi-custom range, the first Nolimits yacht required an extensive level of individual development. Gemini’s completed design reflects the shared efforts of the owner, shipyard, designers, and IYG team.

Long-Range Capability with the Engineering to Match
Gemini was designed to deliver the capability and reliability expected of a larger long-range yacht while remaining below the 500 GT threshold. Built entirely in aluminum, with naval architecture by Arrabito Naval Architects, she features a full-displacement hull designed for efficient long-distance cruising. Powered by twin Caterpillar C32 engines, Gemini reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots and offers a range exceeding 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.
Two independent rudders provide steering redundancy, while a four-fin stabilization system helps reduce rolling motion both underway and at anchor. Rossinavi’s Zero Noise technology addresses onboard sound and vibration, contributing to a quieter environment during extended passages. The yacht also incorporates a Tropicalization System, with air-conditioning chillers engineered to operate at 150% capacity, and two independent high-capacity watermakers to support longer periods away from port. With a draft of approximately 7 feet 5 inches, Gemini also offers access to shallower cruising grounds, an important consideration for destinations such as the Bahamas and the Caribbean. Together, these systems support greater independence and flexibility during extended voyages.

Exterior Design by Fulvio De Simoni Studio
Gemini’s exterior design, developed by Fulvio De Simoni Studio, pairs classical yacht proportions with crisp contemporary detailing. Two distinctive lines run along the upper deck and sundeck, bringing definition to her profile while preserving its clean silhouette. Extensive glazing introduces natural light throughout the interior and maintains a visual connection with the surrounding sea. The four-deck layout provides distinct spaces for entertaining, dining, relaxation, and privacy.
At the stern, the beach club opens directly toward the water, with a transformer platform supporting swimming, water sports, and boarding. Above, the main deck cockpit incorporates a bar and connects with the interior saloon. The upper deck includes an aft dining area for 10 guests, an informal saloon and bar, and a forward exterior lounge with sunpads and a pool. One of Gemini’s defining features is her 1,184-square-foot sundeck, featuring an American-style bar, modular seating, and a protected alfresco dining area for 10 guests. The arrangement provides several areas for relaxation and entertaining, with panoramic views of the surrounding sea.

Interiors by The Touch Studio
The Touch Studio designed Gemini’s interiors to reflect the owner’s preference for comfortable, welcoming spaces suited to family life and entertaining. Natural materials, soft tones, carefully selected artwork, and textural contrasts create a cohesive interior with a distinct personal character. The main deck accommodates a formal dining area seating 12 guests, a spacious saloon, and the full-beam owner’s suite.
Measuring approximately 484 square feet, the owner’s suite includes a private office, separate lounge, walk-in wardrobes, vanity area, and individual bathrooms. These spaces were developed with particular attention to the owner’s routines and preferences, providing the privacy and functionality expected of a principal residence aboard. Four additional guest cabins, comprising three doubles and one twin, are located on the lower deck, alongside a dedicated gym and direct access to the beach club. The arrangement reflects the owner’s priorities for privacy, comfort, and everyday functionality aboard.

A New Chapter for Gemini and the Nolimits Range
As the first completed yacht in the Nolimits series, Gemini represents a milestone for Rossinavi, demonstrating the application of its long-range engineering philosophy to the under-500 GT category. For the Italian Yacht Group, the project reinforces the value of combining established shipyard relationships with experienced, independent client representation. From evaluating shipyards to coordinating technical and design decisions, IYG’s involvement helped maintain alignment between the owner’s objectives and the shipyard’s work throughout construction.
