IYG sits down with you on day one to better understand what your vision of the ideal yacht is. We want to know everything from the way you boat to your personal aesthetic tastes. Once we understand what you want out of your custom yacht, we can begin to enact a plan to make it a reality.
DESIGN WITH THE END IN MIND
Once you choose a design team, IYG will keep close watch over all of the design proceedings making sure everything goes exactly as planned. Our goal here is to ensure the design remains in line with your aesthetic vision, functional requirements, personal specifications, and all relevant regulations.Â
CHOOSING A BUILDER
IYG sits down with you on day one to better understand what your vision of the ideal yacht is. We want to know everything from the way you boat to your personal aesthetic tastes. Once we understand what you want out of your custom yacht, we can begin to enact a plan to make it a reality.
MANAGING THE BUILD
IYG has a dedicated project management team that will be at your service throughout your yacht’s construction. These experts will regularly visit the build site keeping in constant contact with naval architects, designers, contractors, and more to ensure that the build stays on time and on budget.
SHEPHERDING KEY DETAILS
In the meantime, IYG will leverage its contacts to find the right maritime attorney for your legal needs, as well as a bank to help arrange finance. Some owners find paperwork dull, so we shoulder the responsibility for you to ensure that building your yacht is as exciting and pleasurable as it rightly should be.
HIRING A CAPTAIN & COMMISSIONING YOUR YACHT
As your custom yacht nears delivery, IYG will help you find a well-suited captain to outfit the boat with crew and onboard wares like cutlery and fire-safety equipment. Once the boat splashes the captain will take it on a shakedown cruise to make sure every detail is accounted for before the owner steps foot aboard.
DELIVERY DAY
And now, the day you’ve been waiting for. Break out the bubbly. It’s time to christen your brand-new, custom-built yacht. Everything will be perfectly in place, and everything will be most perfectly yours. Congratulations, this is an accomplishment many dream of, but only the very few ever actually achieve.
