The 45-meter Rossinavi Gemini has hit the water under the watchful eye of IYG.
Boomer Jousma and the team at The Italian Yacht Group are proud to announce that the 45-meter Rossinavi Gemini has splashed. The yacht represents the first in the builder’s Nolimits lineup, which aims to seamlessly meld masculine Fulvio de Simoni aesthetics with massive exterior spaces at the vessel’s after end. For IYG, it was a bread-and-butter project with some interesting tidbits to help marble the yacht’s creation story.

A Passion Ignites
The owner first came to IYG during the Pandemic when he bought a Princess 95 to get his family away from the madness onshore. The respite he found at sea quickly became intoxicating.

He fell in love with the boat and being on the water, says Jousma. He is on the boat all the time now. But he got the bug and wanted something bigger, and that’s when we took him shopping.”

Through previous experiences, Jousma had ascertained the owner’s values. He knew that his client appreciated good quality, and also that he liked things that were a little bit different. That was why Jousma ferried him toward Rossinavi, the boutique company based in the Italian boatbuilding Mecca of Viareggio. Rossinavi is well known to be one of the highest quality Italian boatbuilders, and given its small size, it had the flexibility and ability to create something new and interesting for the client.

A Star Is Born
The result was the aptly named Nolimits series, of which Gemini is the debut. The yacht stands out for being a 45-meter build with the capabilities of a 60 meter in terms of redundancy and range. Construction began in 2022 with high hopes on both sides of the Atlantic.

IYG’s Vittoria Santarone was integral to the project. Her sales experience and bilingual skill set helped bridge the cultural gap, and allowed each side to more fully understand the specifics of the project. “It was a really interesting process,” says Santarone.

Technically the Nolimits line is semi-custom, but because this was the first one, it was really full custom. There is nothing else currently out there like it, so we had lots of decisions to make. For example, this yacht is the first one I know of built without any domes. The customer is very tech-forward, and we all know that Starlink is the future. The connectivity on this boat will really be outstanding.”

Beyond her technology, Gemini stands out for her immense size. She started out at 475 gross tons but expanded to 499GT by the end of the build. If those volume numbers are surprising to you, that’s by design. Gemini has interior space that many larger yachts can’t even touch.
Top Features
Both Jousma and Santarone rave about the master in particular. “It’s huge,” says Jousma. “There are his-and-hers closets, his-and-hers bathrooms, a big office, and another space just for lounging. The space is what most would think would be on a 50-meter plus build.” Like all interior spaces aboard Gemini the bathroom was done by The Touch Studio with an eye toward making the yacht warm and inviting. Santarone, with her eye for Italian style, finds the marble in the bathroom particular remarkable. “The patterns you see are fascinating, and they all match perfectly,” she says. “Plus the sink is fully marble. It’s almost structural in that way.” The flybridge is another hit, and one which Jousma thinks will attract future buyers to this model.

I guess you would say it’s Americanized up top,” he says. “There is a huge bar and an enclosure with a windbreaker so you can eat up there without the wind blowing away your napkins. There’s a great area for barbecuing, and also tons of stowage.” – Boomer Jousma

One feature that crew will certainly like is the full staircase that runs from the lower decks up to the flybridge. Paired with a dumbwaiter it makes servicing guests a breeze.
Ready to Roll
Gemini is an aluminum vessel and as such her draft is quite shallow at 7-feet, 7-inches. That means she can get into most anchorages, particularly in the skinny-water destinations so common in the Bahamas. The lightweight aluminum also aids in her range. The yacht can do a truly impressive 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. That’s enough to go from Charleston, South Carolina, to London without refueling. Jousma sees a bright future for the Nolimits line, as well as collaborations between Rossinavi and IYG.

We love working with them,” he says. “They are professional and detail oriented, and that goes a really long way when you’re building a yacht. I also think that this particular boat is going to attract a lot of sophisticated buyers who know what they want. It’s so well thought out, and the quality is just markedly better than some of the other boats you’ll see competing against it. We couldn’t be happier for this particular client, and we look forward to bringing more clients along on the Nolimits journey with us in the future.”
