Cannes Yachting Festival Layout: Vieux Port vs. Port Canto
The show is divided between two marinas along the Croisette, connected by land access and complimentary sea shuttles operating approximately every 15 minutes.
Vieux Port
Located at the foot of Le Suquet in central Cannes, Vieux Port is dedicated entirely to the motorboat sector. It is the primary showcase for new motor yachts and superyachts.
More than 350 motor yachts are displayed afloat, including monohulls, multihulls, rigid and semi-rigid hulls, ranging from new 12–45m motor yachts to superyachts up to 45/50m.
Key Areas in Vieux Port:
- Jetée & Super Yachts Extension: Yachts over 22m from leading international shipyards, including a floating extension presenting approximately 30 superyachts over 24m.
- Quai Max Laubeuf (QML): Around 40 boats afloat, including approximately 20 power catamarans up to 30m.
- Quai Saint-Pierre: 12–16m luxury day boats and performance-focused motor yachts.
- Pantiero & Equipment Village: Motorboats up to 20m alongside 4,600 m² of marine electronics, deck equipment, and onboard services.
- Palais des Festivals: High-end yachting lifestyle brands, equipment manufacturers, engine builders, and tenders.
Dining at Vieux Port: The Panoramic Restaurant, located atop the Palais des Festivals, offers harbor views. Reservations open August 2026.
Port Canto
Located across the Croisette, Port Canto complements Vieux Port with dedicated sectors for sailing yachts, brokerage yachts, and smaller motorboats.
Port Canto Highlights:
- The Sailing Area: Nearly 120 new 10–30m sailboats, including monohulls and multihulls, forming one of the largest in-water displays of large sailing yachts globally.
- The Yacht Brokerage Area: More than 45 pre-owned yachts from 22–50m, with direct access to brokers and crew for purchase or charter discussions.
- Power Boat Marina: 150 boats afloat and 30 on land, featuring motorboats up to 12–13m.
- Toys Area: Jet boards, jet skis, and marine water activity equipment.
Dining at Port Canto: The Skippers Restaurant accepts reservations beginning August 2026.

What Buyers Gain at Cannes
For serious yacht buyers, the Cannes Yachting Festival provides concentrated access to the European yacht market in a single location.
Rather than coordinating multiple shipyard visits across Europe, buyers can evaluate hundreds of yachts over six days along the Croisette.
This density of inventory enables immediate comparison and more informed decision-making.
Side-by-Side Model Comparison
Motor yachts, sailing yachts, and brokerage listings are displayed within walking distance. Buyers can assess layout, engineering standards,
finish quality, and pricing across competing shipyards in real time.
Direct Access to Industry Leaders
Shipyard executives, brokers, designers, and captains are present on-site. Discussions move beyond marketing materials to specifications,
build timelines, customization options, and contract considerations.
Early Access to New Launches
As the first major European yacht show of the season, Cannes frequently hosts global debuts, providing early visibility into new designs
before broader market rollout.
Brokerage Market Activity
Pre-owned inventory often accelerates during show week. New listings surface, pricing adjusts, and negotiations advance in an active
marketplace environment.
On-Water Evaluation
Sea trials are commonly available during the festival (subject to shipyard approval), allowing buyers to assess performance and handling
under practical conditions.
