The Italian Yacht Group offers the very rare chance to buy a new-build, full-custom 47-meter Rossinavi with a delivery set for early summer 2026
Every once in a while a yacht-buying opportunity comes along that is truly special. Project Berserk is one of them. The 47-meter Rossinavi explorer was originally sold by the Italian Yacht Group at the 2023 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. It has been under construction in Viareggio ever since. However the owner has decided to build a larger vessel, creating the unusual opportunity to buy a yacht of this caliber all but turnkey, with an expedited delivery set for summer of 2026.
A Heavyweight Explorer
Berserk is an incredible vessel by anyone’s standards. Rossinavi, of course, is highly regarded as one of Italy’s very finest yards. The level of attention the builder pays to design, engineering, and fit and finish is world-class. But beyond that, Berserk has some very special attributes that make her even more of a prize, particularly for a yacht listed at 499GT. Because the boat was designed for world-girdling adventure her tender capabilities were key. And to that end, she won’t be beat. Berserk is able to carry a 37-foot Axopar as well as a 21-foot Nautique ski boat on her aft deck. A custom-built crane lifts the smaller boats in and out of the water and folds flush to the deck when its duties are through. Up on the bow deck, Berserk can carry an additional rescue tender as well as two Jet Skis.
The yacht has some other attributes that make her well suited for a life of adventure. Redundancies abound onboard, and her Caterpillar engines will be easily serviceable all over the world. A 4,000-nautical-mile range at 10 knots means she is transAtlantic, and has the legs to get to exotic ports of call like Fiji and Alaska.

Boomer Jousma is particularly enthusiastic about the time to delivery on this project. “This is a very special yacht, in that it’s full custom and from a very well respected builder,” he says. “Usually if you started fresh, this kind of boat would take three years to build. But if you sign on to own it now, you can have it in a little over a year. That’s just not something you see every day, and we hope that our clients will recognize the awesome potential that Project Berserk offers.”
Boomer also noted that the Italian Yacht Group is uniquely positioned to nail all the details as Berserk heads toward her launch date. “We are experts in Italian yachts, and in particular, fully bespoke Italian yachts like this one,” he says. “We shopped a lot of yards when we got started with this project, and we decided on Rossinavi because we felt they would be the most capable in creating our vision. One of the major reasons we had some confidence in them is because this boat is meant to go far afield, they build their own doors, cranes, passerelles, you name it. We can vouch for the high level of craftmanship there, and we know they put a lot of personal pride into their work as well.”
