UNICO — 2009 AZIMUT 86S

A true Italian performance yacht, the Azimut 86S was built for an owner who refuses to choose between luxury, performance and presence.

At nearly 87 feet, UNICO carries the accommodations and volume of a large motor yacht while delivering the aggressive styling and performance that made the 86S one of Azimut’s most recognizable sport yachts.

Power comes from twin MTU 16V 2000 M91 diesels producing a combined 4,000 horsepower and paired with surface-drive propulsion. This is not your typical 86-foot motor yacht. The 86S was engineered to deliver an entirely different experience behind the helm fast, responsive and engaging, with the unmistakable character of a true Italian performance yacht.

Designed by Stefano Righini, her gorgeous red/white exterior remains striking today. A low profile, sweeping glass, aggressive hardtop and wide stance give UNICO a presence that stands apart from conventional yachts in this size range.

With a beam of over 19 feet, the interior provides impressive volume without sacrificing the sleek profile that defines the 86S.

One of the strongest features of the 86S layout is the separation between guest and service areas. The galley is discreetly positioned on the lower deck, keeping food preparation and crew activity away from the yacht’s primary entertaining spaces. This allows the main-deck salon to remain open, elegant and entirely dedicated to guests, while providing the functionality expected aboard a yacht designed for extended cruising and entertaining.

Four guest staterooms provide excellent accommodations for family and guests, while separate crew quarters allow the yacht to operate comfortably with professional crew.

Outside, the expansive aft deck creates an exceptional entertaining area and flows naturally into the main salon. At the water, the hydraulic swim platform and tender garage provide the functionality expected from a yacht of this caliber while preserving her clean, uninterrupted exterior lines.

The result is a yacht that can entertain like a luxury motor yacht and perform like something considerably smaller.

For the buyer considering traditional 80–90 foot yachts, UNICO offers something very different: 4,000 horsepower, surface-drive performance, unmistakable Italian styling and nearly 87 feet of yacht around you.

There are plenty of yachts in this size range.

There are very few that look, sound and perform like an Azimut 86S.
