IYG is delighted to announce the sale of a Palm Beach 70, soon to be named UNTETHERED. This classic downeast style yacht, with its expansive layout and timeless aesthetic, is ideal for hosting gatherings and cruising comfortably at high speeds. The transaction was facilitated by IYG’s Boomer Jousma, representing the buyer, and Steve Martin of Palm Beach Motor Yachts in Stuart, Florida.

UNTETHERED blends exhilarating performance with remarkable efficiency. She achieves a top speed of 33 knots and cruises effortlessly at 28 knots, powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS 1350 engines. Notably, despite her 70-foot length, 90% of Palm Beach 70s are owner-operated—a testament to her intuitive handling and stability, even in challenging conditions.

The yacht’s interior is as impressive as her performance. She features three well-appointed staterooms, two with ensuite heads, and a full-beam master suite offering panoramic views through oversized hull windows. The walkthrough reveals a standout detail: a custom wine chiller integrated into the saloon’s cabinetry, paired with rich teak woodwork that flows seamlessly from the open-plan living area to the exterior decks.
Additional highlights include a flybridge with a helm station, wet bar, and generous seating—perfect for entertaining—along with a hydraulic swim platform aft, ideal for water activities. Her lightweight carbon-fiber construction ensures both speed and fuel economy, making her a standout in her class.
We extend our sincere congratulations to the new owner and wish them many memorable voyages and tranquil seas aboard UNTETHERED.
