IYG Announces Sale of New Construction: 2026 Viking 58 Convertible

The Italian Yacht Group (IYG) has announced the sale of a new construction 2026 Viking 58 Convertible, represented by Vittoria Santarone. The yacht was purchased through Viking’s authorized dealer, with IYG serving as the buyer’s advisor and build steward.

A U.S.–built sportfishing icon with primary production in New Jersey, Viking is revered for tournament pedigree and owner-operator versatility. This project highlights IYG’s client-first approach: we place the owner’s needs above all else, even when the perfect yacht isn’t Italian-made.

“Our clients come first, always,” said Vittoria Santarone. “We value our relationships with Italy’s leading shipyards but we take the build process very seriously. In this case, the Viking 58 matched the buyer’s lifestyle perfectly—so we made the introduction through HMY, and he loved it.”

How the Owner Will Use Her

The owner plans to split time between the Gulf and the Bahamas, fishing tournaments and making memories with his grandson. The 58C’s cockpit geometry, mezzanine layout, and range make it a natural platform for chasing popular regional game—wahoo, mahi-mahi, tuna, and billfish—while remaining comfortable for family weekends.

Key Build Highlights

  • Power & Performance: Twin 1,600+ hp engines for confident speed, range, and fishability
  • Accommodations: Three-stateroom layout balancing privacy and family flexibility
  • Fishing Geometry: Expansive cockpit and mezzanine engineered for serious angling and easy entertaining
  • Interior Finish: Luxurious fit-and-finish with durable, owner-operator practicality
  • Operations: Efficient to run owner-operated or with part-time crew

Why IYG for New Construction

From first brief to handover, IYG manages yard selection, spec discipline, approvals, milestone oversight, sea trials, and after-sale support. While Vittoria is widely known for Italian new-builds, she noted this Viking project also expands her comparative insight into American vs. Italian shipyard processes—knowledge she will leverage for future IYG clients pursuing the “right boat” for their program, regardless of flag.

Congratulations to the new owner. We’re honored by your trust and excited to celebrate the handover in July 2026.

Your vision. Our expertise. Let’s create it together.
