REHAB Details

REHAB is a spectacular tri-deck motor yacht offering the volume, features, and amenities typically associated with much larger yachts, all within a sleek and highly maneuverable package. Originally built to RINA classification, although no longer maintained in class, she has been kept to impeccable standards and has benefitted from an exceptional program of refit, preventative maintenance, and continual upgrades under her current ownership.

Scheduled Fall 2026 Yard Period
Main Engines and Running Gear

The next major M4/M5 service is scheduled, with the scope expected to include:

• Replacement of main-engine filters and fluids
• Inspection and servicing of turbochargers and intercoolers
• Coolant-system service
• Inspection of wiring and sensors
• Adjustment of valve clearances
• Inspection and servicing of injectors
• Oil and fuel analysis
• Crankcase-breather service
• Raw-water-pump service
• Full servicing of both reduction gears, including oil and filter changes, inspections, heat-exchanger servicing, and oil analysis
• Vibration analysis under sea-trial conditions
• Inspection and adjustment of engine and gearbox mounts and bushings, as required
• Replacement of the main-engine and generator raw-water shutoff valves at the sea chests

Generators
Both generators are current with their regular 250- and 500-hour service schedules.

Planned work during the yard period includes:

• Full servicing of both generators
• Removal, cleaning, pressure testing, and servicing of both generator heat exchangers
• Replacement of the starboard generator’s primary fuel-filter housing
• Replacement of the starboard generator’s belt pulleys
• Replacement of both generator battery banks with four new Fullriver DC160-12 batteries
• Installation of a new Mastervolt ChargeMaster 25-amp generator battery charger
• Watermaker, Plumbing, and Tank Systems
• Removal of the existing Idromar watermaker and installation of a new Atlas 2500 watermaker to increase freshwater-production capacity
• Installation of an ozone generator for the black- and grey-water tanks
• Recalibration of the Vega tank-level gauges
• Replacement of the thru-hull fitting and valve in the crew-mess bilge supplying the audiovisual closet’s air-conditioning system
• Overhaul of the crash pump, including the non-return valve on the exhaust and cooling-water side

Air-Conditioning and Technical Systems

• Installation and plumbing of two new Gianneschi raw-water pumps for the air-conditioning system
• Redesign and fabrication of the air-conditioning chiller raw-water manifold using hard piping, including new shutoff valves, bleeding and flushing ports, relocated anodes, and cooling-tower connections
• Installation and plumbing of a new Gianneschi chilled-water circulation pump
  Replacement of two Frigomar air handlers
• Replacement of three exhaust-air vacuum boxes
• Removal of the existing compressor and installation of a new, appropriately specified compressor
• Service of the Asea converter slave unit
• Full diagnostic inspection of the Onyx monitoring and control system, with corrective work completed as required
• Various additional electrical works

Navigation and Deck Equipment

• Anchor-windlass service

Exterior and Cosmetic Work

• New bottom paint
• Painting in the stern area
• Paint touch-ups throughout the vessel
• Full exterior polishing and ceramic coating

Interior and Guest Areas

• Comprehensive interior cleaning and detailing, including carpets, sofas, tables, and upholstery
• Complete upgrade of interior linens

Mechanical Works Completed in Fall 2024 and Spring/Summer 2025

Main Engines

• Port and starboard exhaust elbows, mixers, and spray rings replaced
• New raw-water pumps installed
• All engine and gearbox mountings replaced with new Vulkan mounts
• New Vulkan couplings installed
• Complete alignment of the engines, couplings, gearboxes, and shafts
• M1/M2/M3 service completed in September 2024
• Seven injectors replaced on the starboard engine
• Heat exchangers cleaned
• Borescope inspections completed, showing the cylinders, valves, and valve seats to be in excellent condition
• Running Gear
• Shafts removed, inspected, straightened, and sleeved where required
• Propellers inspected and reconditioned
• All six cutlass bearings replaced and aligned
• Transmissions lifted and bushings replaced

Stabilizers

• Both stabilizer fins removed, serviced, reseated, and tested
• Bearings and seals replaced on both sides
• Encoder and brake-wiring connectors replaced on the port-side motor

Generators

• Major top-end rebuild completed in September 2024
• New exhaust hoses installed
• Raw-water pumps replaced on both generators
• Starter and ground-loop solenoids replaced and relocated for improved accessibility
• Fuel-priming pumps installed
• Pumps, Valves, and Additional Systems
• Sewage and scupper pumps overhauled
• Seven thru-hull valves replaced
• Crash-pump exhaust replaced
• Sewage-system Vulkan gauge replaced
• Jet pumps stripped and comprehensively serviced
• Numerous additional mechanical and electrical upgrades completed by specialist contractors
