The 5 Italian Yachts You Need To See During FLIBS 2023

|

Everybody knows the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is renowned as the largest and most exciting boat show in the country. But when you’re buying or selling a yacht, it’s the stuff you might not yet know that can make all the difference. That’s where IYG comes in. We are industry experts with the inside edge to make your transaction go exactly how you want it to.

We invite you to come walk the docks at Lauderdale with us, checking out all the latest launches and trends. “We have the deepest knowledge in the industry of the Italian brands as well as the strongest relationships,” says Boomer Jousma. “We’ve sold Rivas, we’ve sold Bagliettos, we’ve sold Sanlorenzo and Mangusta and Azimut, nobody else can say that. If you come check out this show with us by your side you will see the IYG difference firsthand.” Jousma points to a number of Italian boats that have him excited for this year’s show, including the AB 80, Ferretti 1000 Skydeck, Sanlorenzo SD90, Benetti Oasis 34M, and the Azimut Grande 26M.

Let’s take a closer look at what these yachts bring to the table.

AB 80

AB is a Viareggio, Italy-based builder known for building exceptionally fast sport yachts, and this 80 is no exception with a sizzling top end cresting 60 mph. She also has plenty of space for toys in an outsized garage that holds two PWCs with an easy-to-use launch and retrieval system.

Ferretti 1000 Skydeck

The Ferretti 1000 Skydeck is a 98-foot motoryacht with a fully enclosed skybridge with openable slats overhead for exceptional airflow. This Skydeck, along with Ferretti’s new Infynito range, shows the builder’s reenergized focus on blending exterior areas with the interior, making for a truly wholistic experience aboard its yachts.

Sanlorenzo SD90

The SD90 from Sanlorenzo is an excellent choice with style provided by her designers Zuccon International Project and space enough for eight guests and four crew. Her top speed ranges up to 17 knots, while she cruises most happily at 13. The yacht is notable for a massive salon meant to induce long conversations among guests and an exceedingly comfortable time spent aboard.

Benetti Oasis 34M

Benetti has met great success with its Oasis concept and the 34M is an excellent example of why. The yacht has the Oasis models’ trademark beach club with an infinity Jacuzzi at the transom. It’s really difficult to walk by this inviting setup at a boat show and not envision yourself relaxing in what is really a spectacular design element.

Azimut Grande 26M

Benetti’s sister company Azimut also has an enticing entry at FLIBS in the form of the Grande 26M. With three decks on an 85-foot yacht plus a glass transom on the cockpit level, this model has the overall effect of feeling much larger than she is—perhaps more like a 100 footer than her actual LOA. It’s a feat of design that can be chalked up to Azimut’s long and storied history of yacht building.

At IYG we are looking forward to checking out all these new boats plus many more at this year’s FLIBS. And we can’t wait to bring you along with us for an insider’s view on the exciting world of Italian yacht building.
