Getting to Know Vanquish Yachts

|

Vanquish Yachts likes to describe itself as a mini Feadship, and when you get to know the boats a bit better, it immediately becomes clear why. The builder brings to the table a level of quality and attention to detail that is on par with the world’s top mega yachts.

Vanquish separates itself from the pack first by building strong and light boats out of aluminum, as opposed to most builders in this class, who prefer fiberglass. The lines are sleek yet masculine, and near-vertical bows set off a profile that is immediately recognizable even from afar. The overall styling seen on these boats is modern and minimalistic without sacrificing at-sea practicality. A relatively unique
walkaround design allows guests to traverse the boat safely and comfortably even at speed, and foredeck lounges offer both privacy and a dynamic deck space for entertaining.

IYG sold its first Vanquish in 2018—a 48, of which they sold five more models that same summer. Since then, IYG has sold more than 30 Vanquishes ranging in size from 40 to 115 feet. The Vanquish VQ115 Veloce is the builder’s flagship. It was recently delivered to the Med, and then will come back to Miami and Sag Harbor after that. The owner is a longtime IYG client who previously owned a Vanquish 58. When he decided he wanted a bigger boat, he knew exactly where to turn. “We started with a piece of paper,” says Boomer Jousma, IYG’s sales director. “Originally the owner wanted a 90, but we kept adding more features and that added more space, and we eventually came out with the 115. He wanted the boat to do 50 knots too, that was big for him. We ushered this owner’s dream along from something that was just an idea, to a reality. And that feels really good and I think cements us as unrivaled experts when it comes to buying a Vanquish.”

IYG sees prospective owners of Vanquishes as people looking for a dayboat of remarkable quality. These aren’t boats meant for longer cruises and overnights. But they are perfect for the owner who wants to take his boat out for a few hours at a time with family and friends and have an exceptional on-the-water experience. The builder has a lineup that includes a 40, 45, 50, 52, 55, 58, 70, and the 115. The 40 and 55 are fiberglass models, but everything else is made out of aluminum. Vanquish is a fully custom builder hat can build most anything a client can dream up. Currently, IYG is delivering a VQ52, a VQ58, and a VQ45.
